All of this culminates in the Goodna Jacaranda Festival, which has been running every year since 1968. In 2015, St Ives Shopping Centre is joining in the celebrations as a bronze sponsor for the historic event.
A Family Friendly Celebration
The Goodna Jacaranda Festival, which runs from the 23rd to the 25th of October, will attract crowds in the tens of thousands, with proceeds going straight back to various local community efforts.
The family friendly festivities include a highly popular talent quest and a car show, as well as numerous stalls, competitions and fireworks displays.
As a sponsor of the festival, St Ives Shopping Centre is supporting local history and joining in some family friendly fun.
Centre manager Ms Jo Grammatico described the sponsorship as another step in St Ives’ legacy of supporting the local community.
“We are extremely excited and proud to be involved as a sponsor for the Goodna Jacaranda Festival,” she said.
“As the main shopping centre in Goodna we are always encouraging locals to support local business and community. We are so glad that we are able to support the community in this annual event.”
