The Tony Q Band

Main Stage

The Tony Q Band is a distinctive sound like no other, with their roots grown from country rock, blue grass and some good old fashioned chicken pickin’. The band came together at the beginning of 2016 when lead singer Tony, a soldier in the Australian Army, had returned from active service in the Middle East. Although new, each member of the band have at least 15 years experience behind them; performing on stages from The Gympie Music Muster and all the way to the sands of Afghanistan.

Since they formed, the band have made a massive impact on the South East Queensland country music scene and have developed a very strong following nationwide. Their debut album, “Road to Nowhere” was released in early 2017 and peaked behind Keith Urban on the iTunes Country Album charts at #2.

The Tony Q Band don’t just perform, they put on an energetic show that will have you dancing and singing all night long.

Country Music Asscoiation

Main Stage

The Club was formed in 1966 as the Australian Country & Western Club and became the West Moreton Country Music Club in 1971.
In 1975 and 1978 the Club produced two vinyl albums featuring members of the club at that time.
The club 25th Anniversary was celebrated with the release of a Club Cassette in 1991.
A CD to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the club was released in 2006. This recording was all original material recorded by club members at that time.
All through the history of the club the members have donated their services to assist needy organisations and provide regular, affordable entertainment to the citizens of the greater Ipswich area.
The WMCMA as it is commonly known has the promotion of Country Music in all of its forms as its primary objective and to provide a medium for performers of the music to get on stage and fulfil a dream. The mentorship by the more experienced members provides guidance in the achievement of that goal.
The club presently performs at the Ipswich Showgrounds in the Greyhounds Pavilion on the third Friday night of the month. Rehearsals are held on the previous Sunday. Most months there is a high quality guest artist performing as part of the four hour show.
Membership of the club comprises musicians, vocalists, committee and non-performing members. The club is always open to new member who want to perform just be a part of the Country Music scene.
This year we are celebrating the 50th year of the Clubs existence.
