Junior Dance – Started with Sophie performing a great little number ‘Afro Move it’ incorporating some acrobatic work very cute,  followed by Matilda with ‘One fine day’  showing off her tapping skills.  A very cute trio was next with Zion, Kira and Shannon with Put a little love in your heart, I’m sure they won the audience’s heart with their performance.  Meaghan followed with a snazzy tap number to ‘A Train’ – some great sounds shown.  The Junior Dance section was completed with Erin performing a lovely number to ‘Home for Christmas’.  An entertaining section to start the Quest for Talent for 2013.

Congratulations to Zion, Shannon & Kira and Meaghan for being selected to go through to the semi finals on Saturday.

Only 14 years and under……just starting out in the business so to speak.

Nikki opened the section with  ‘Skinny Love’ – her first time performing and she did  a lovely job.  Briana was next with a very nice rendition of ‘Titanium, followed by April with an extremely expressive performance of ‘Wizard and I’.    Harrison gave it all with ‘When I was your Man’ while Savannah knocked them dead with ‘Almost there’  song and tap.

The night is only young, we look forward to seeing more of the wonderful talent Quest for Talent brings.

Congratulations to April and Savannah also going through to the semi finals.

The night continues with the Intermediate Variety section.  ‘Tears always win’ a lovely performance from Angela and only 16 years old followed by a beautiful rendition of ‘Over the Rainbow’ from Ashleigh (a previous winner of Quest for Talent).

It was so lovely to see all the contestants looking  fabulous and going to extra lengths to ensure a professional look for their performances.

Chelsie was next accompanied by guitar singing  ‘Wake me Up’  showing her skills has a singer and guitarist….just lovely.

John Boyle – well… what can I say trying to keep him in line back stage is a hard task.  However, he does a fabulous job and keeps the competitors back stage very entertained.  great job John…thanks!

Kalisha chose a wonderful song ‘At Last’ and performed it with style and captured the audience well.  To finish off the Intermediate Variety section was Jasmine with an excellent musical theatre number ‘I want to be a rockette’……our stars of the future.

The night is moving along very quickly with some very talented performers.

Adult Dance entrants took to the stage with Candice strutting her stuff with a very well executed dance number ‘Moving the Line’, very entertaining, while Grace  showed off her strong dance skills to’ Super Beat’.  Final Adult Dance competitor Jasmine intrigued the audience with a contemporary dance number to ‘Colour Blind’…well limbered and showing off her acrobatic skills.

It’s great to see the discipline of these wonderful dancers, not only in their dance ability but in their grooming.  Congratulations to all the dancers.

Alyssa was first with her song ‘Try’, capturing the audience with her performance and strong vocals.  It was great to see Tammy perform once again in Quest for Talent, ‘ I will Love Again’ was Tammy’s choice and performed the song beautifully. Another previous performer of Quest for Talent, great to have him back, Nick with ‘You give me something’ giving his heart and soul to the number and to the audience.  Good job. Melissa another previous performer with Quest for Talent was able to woo the audience with ‘Hallelujah using her skills as a guitarist to complete her performance…..such talent in our Adult Variety section.
