Geoff Secomb graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Instrumental Performance) and in 1981 with a Graduate Diploma in Music (Instrumental Performance.) After 5 years in the Queensland Youth Symphony Orchestra, four of those years as Principal Clarinet, and performing as soloist with the orchestra in both Australia and Europe, Geoffrey worked as a professional musician with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and the Queensland Theatre Orchestra, playing for professional theatre productions.
Geoffrey has also spent a considerable amount of time as a teacher in the State & Private school systems, and in his private teaching studio.
His involvement with community music and theatre spans over 35 years, both as a player and Musical Director, having directed nearly 20 productions and performing in countless others. He has also been a member of several community orchestras over the years, most notably for seven years in the Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra, with which he also appeared as Soloist in 2006.
