This year the West Moreton Country Music Association is celebrating it’s 50th year! Currently based at the Ipswich Showgrounds, the association is still going strong, supporting local artists and expanding the reach of Country Music across Ipswich.
The WMCMA as it is commonly known has the promotion of Country Music in all of its forms as its primary objective and to provide a medium for performers of the music to get on stage and fulfil a dream. The mentorship by the more experienced members provides guidance in the achievement of that goal.
The club presently performs at the Ipswich Showgrounds in the Greyhounds Pavilion on the third Friday night of the month. Rehearsals are held on the previous Sunday. Most months there is a high quality guest artist performing as part of the four hour show.
