With only eight weeks until the Goonda Jacaranda Festival is back again in 2019, we have a bigger and better line-up than ever according to Festival President Mathew Taylor.
“This year we will see all of the festival favourites return such as live music, talent shows, pop-up bars, food trucks, side show alley and a huge fireworks display. In addition to this year’s program, there will be a battle of the bands showcase where local musicians compete to be crowned the winner as well as a significant increase in the variety of market stalls. There will also be a refreshed layout to allow for future growth and sustainability of the event with the festival now charging a small entry fee of $2.50 per adult to contribute to the increased cost of activities and infrastructure”, Mathew said.
Since 1967 the Goodna Jacaranda Festival has been a much-loved community festival that celebrates the wonderfully diverse lifestyle in our region.
More than 10,000 people are expected to take to Evan Marginson Park in Goodna on the 25th, 26th and 27th October to celebrate this long-standing community event.
Get involved in this fantastic community event; We’re currently accepting applications from performers, stall holders, food vendors and community groups. Volunteers are also welcome to apply to help us run the event over the three days.
