    Schools Program Hits New Record!

Saturday at the Jacaranda Festival will once again have the sounds of school music gracing Evan Marginson Park.  In a festival record we have 48 ensembles ranging from string orchestras, concert bands, choirs and big bands performing on the main stage.  Schools Program Coordinator Matthew Chambers said “It’s a wonderful opportunity for the students to perform at a public event giving them a great experience to take with them for life”.

With support from Brass Music Specialists and Music Fest who are generously providing 2 esteemed adjudicators, students will get valuable feedback to help with future progression developing their skills of musicianship.

We have small and large groups representing the local schools all coming together to make music for our diverse community.

Festival President Mathew Taylor said “It’s going to be amazing to see over 1000 students performing at this years event. Matthew and his team have done an amazing job to bring so many schools together and I’m really looking foward to enjoying the show this Saturday. “
